The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome 4x GRAMMY Award-winning artist Pepe Aguilar to the Museum’s intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an evening celebrating his career in discussion about his upcoming music and creative process.
Pepe Aguilar is one of the most iconic and influential figures in Latin music — a Mexican-American singer, songwriter, and producer whose career has defined and redefined the global perception of regional Mexican music. With over 30 albums to his name, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, more than 20 billion career streams, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, his impact on music and culture is both vast and enduring.
Aguilar’s work is more than entertainment — it is a conscious act of cultural preservation and projection. Through monumental productions like Jaripeo Sin Fronteras and Jaripeo Hasta Los Huesos, he has fused live music with Mexico’s equestrian and charro tradition, transforming stages into living altars of heritage and spectacle. As the first artist to bring mariachi music to Jimmy Kimmel Live! and one of the few to appear on major English-language platforms like The Kelly Clarkson Show, Pepe continues to serve as an artistic and cultural ambassador, bridging communities with elegance and intention.
In 2024, he was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Awards Hall of Fame — a recognition not just of his success, but of his enduring leadership in the evolution of Latin music. And in 2025, he was named Ambassador of the First World Mariachi Congress, further deepening his role as a guardian of Mexican traditions.
On May 29, Aguilar released one of the most culturally significant projects of his career: Mi Suerte Es Ser Mexicano, a heartfelt tribute to charrería, Mexico’s national sport and one of its deepest expressions of identity. As a former national champion charro and son of the legendary Antonio Aguilar — a performer, immigrant, and national icon — Pepe honors his lineage while looking ahead: not only by reinterpreting the greatest songs tied to charrería, but by actively working to establish a new charrería league in Mexico, ensuring that this living tradition thrives for generations to come.
This summer, in a symbolic cultural moment, Pepe Aguilar will take the stage at the Hollywood Bowl alongside Gustavo Dudamel, joined by his children, Ángela and Leonardo Aguilar — both celebrated artists in their own right — for a multigenerational performance that celebrates the richness and future of Mexican music.
Pepe Aguilar is not simply preserving Mexican tradition — he is expanding it. His influence resonates in the voices of a new generation, including artists like Carín León, with whom he collaborates on Lamentablemente, part of Boca Chueca Vol. 1. His artistry lives at the crossroads of legacy and reinvention — and in everything he creates, he transmits not sound, but a living echo of who we are.

The holder of this ticket is granted admission to the indicated facility for the purpose of viewing the specified event.
