Renowned for his intricate rhythmic syncopation, lyrical melodies, and sophisticated harmonies, he has built a celebrated four-decade career marked by four gold and two platinum albums, over six million records sold worldwide, and numerous honors. His accolades include an Honorary Doctorate from Berklee College of Music, the Montreal Jazz Festival's Honorary Miles Davis Award, the BBC Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Sir George Martin, and five German gold albums.
