Exploring various musical styles, he played saxophone, joined a jazz band, and sang with local groups. Influenced by legends like Nat King Cole, Dennis Brown, and Freddie McGregor, Army developed into a well- rounded artist. He later moved to the U.S., attended New Yorks School of the Performing Arts, and after high school, enlisted in the Army and trained in HVAC. Despite his other pursuits, music called him back. Returning to the Virgin Islands, he sang backup for the Front Line band and others. Under the mentorship of Jahole, he deepened his reggae roots and eventually became lead singer of the rising X Factor Band. His talent caught the attention of Abdul Williams (Dub Rise Records) and Dean Pond (DSP Music), who quickly signed him. Armys mission is to share positive, universal messages through his music, staying true to his values and avoiding commercial trends.
