Comedy For Life isnt just the name of this class its a mindset. Its about viewing the world through a lens of humor and discovering the funny thats all around us (and within you!). Everyone has an inner comedian - and well help you uncover yours. Over the course of six weeks, youll not only learn the fundamentals of Stand-Up Comedy, but youll also build confidence, boost your creativity, and experience a deep sense of personal fulfillment. So... are you ready to step into the spotlight?In this 6-week class, you will:Find your own voice on and off stage.Learn different Writing Styles: Writing it ALL out, Bullet Points, and going up on stage with a Premise.The Mirror Technique: Look at what youre saying and how youre saying it in the mirror.On Stage movement styles: Standing, Sitting, or Pace.Silence... Knowing when the audience is listening or... or not.Moving forward: finishing the rest of your set if a joke doesnt get a laugh or doesnt hit.Your Ending. What to say when leaving the stage. Saying, Goodnight, or Thank you, or Enjoy the rest of the show, etc.Recording your set: Video or AudioWant to skip service fees? Important Event Information
This event is 21 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 21 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund. Ages 21+ and Older. All sales are final. No refunds. 2-item minimum purchase required The lineup is subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who is either under the influence of ANY substance or causes a disturbance of any kind. Late arrivals for groups of 4 or more are not guaranteed seating together unless half the party is already seated or VIP booth/stage seating has been reserved. Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seats after the show starts. Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable. Only tickets purchased directly from The Stand Up Comedy Club will be honored. We do not support or honor tickets obtained from third parties or scalpers. Any resale, attempted resale, or exchange of tickets will result in the seizure and cancellation of the ticket without compensation. Valid identification indicating the ticket buyer's identity is required for admission to the event.
