They followed up in 2019 with The Fall of Hobo Johnson, a confessional album exploring jealousy, heartbreak, and emotional vulnerability. After a creative hiatus in 202122 and a brief breakup of the LoveMakers, Lopes returned in 2024 with the double single Dads Bed / Metaverse, signaling a stylistic pivot back toward emotionally charged, band-driven songs. The project, often referred to as Hobo Johnson Drinks!, has since been officially released as a full album in 2025, marking his latest exploration of candid lyricism and spiky blend of rap, folk, and spoken‑word. His newest single You is out now on all streaming platforms.
