Event Details
Birth š¤ Life š¤ Death š¤ Rebirth
The cycle that contains the whole. As we journey into the dark mystic waters of Scorpio season, we have the opportunity to commune intimately with this cycle as the moon activates this sacred polarity on the Taurus full moon November 5th and the Scorpio new moon November 19th.Ā
A sacred relationship between body and emotion, the fullness of our desires and the descent into the darkness of the maternal cosmic void, the underworld. Especially in these times of social, environmental, and political tension faced by humanity, there is a current of unease and tension. Scorpio season is about facing the truth, what has been in the shadows now surfaces. An apocalypse (į¼ĻοκάλĻ
ĻιĻ, apokĆ”lypsis - āunveiling, disclosureā) can be a time when our hearts and even our bodies break at the truth of what is being shown.Ā
How can we meet this moment, this descent into the inner waters with more presence, tenderness, and consciousness? Our time together will explore just that, allowing astrology to provide us the compass and the medicine of Cacao to hold us as a death doula, a teacher and companion of the life-death-rebirth axis as seen in the Mesoamerican and South American cosmologies and respective archeological findings. Cacao is a guardian of the heartās death and rebirth.Ā
During our time together:
š¤ We will encounter the underworld is present in various cosmological traditions. A necessary place of trial, challenge, and treasure. Hades of the Greek tradition, Xibalba of the Mayan tradition, and Urkupacha of the Andean tradition.Ā
š¤ We will understand how to best work with this Scorpio season, opening up the archetypes of Taurus - Scorpio, Life and Death, Bull and Scorpion, and the deeper meanings hidden within this axis.Ā
š¤ We will journey with Mama Cacao, approaching her medicine with reverence for her encoded intelligence to meet us at thresholds of life and death. This journey will weave sound, guided imagery, and prayer so that our container may safely explore the expression of their emotions and transmute dense energies into positive potentials. While cacao has expanded in popularity and visibility in recent years for her ability to open our hearts and lift our mood, we will be honoring her ancestral connection to the rites of passage related to birth and death.Ā
š¤ Our guided journeys and intentions will thematically move with our two moons, ushering us into the two week portal of the waning moon to plant a new seed in the deep waters of the Scorpio new moon. We invite you to both gatherings to work with this polarity in its totality, but all are welcome if you can only attend one of the times.
