2024 YoungArts-winner MAYA PROULX marks her debut at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. Join us...LIVE! Sun, June 8th at 7:30pm. Dinner begins at 6:00pm.Ms. Prouxl invites you to a wonderful evening of music! Maya will be joined onstage by the John Proulx Trio featuring Alex Frank on bass and Tat Batera on drums, along with very special guests.The night will feature jazz standards, Brazilian tunes, classical, folk, and originals.Catalina Jazz Club6725 West Sunset Blvd.Hollywood, CA 90028*Tickets purchased online receive priority seating.*Single Entree or Drink minimums apply for all patrons. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Maya Proulx has been performing piano, viola, and writing her own songs since she was four years old. She picked up guitar during the pandemic and has found a deep love for Brazilian, Spanish, jazz, and classical guitar. She was recently named a 2024 YoungArts winner with distinction in Jazz Voice and was nominated to apply for the US presidential scholar in the arts, the highest honor of the organization. Shes always loved writing music and has composed for the Pasadena Chorale, written music for various short films, and is working on a piece with Brightwork ensembles high school composing initiative.In March, she will be singing among one of 14 people in ACDAs jazz honor choir and was also named one of the JEXA awards young scholars in 2024.
