Event Details
Described as a "virtuoso performer of extreme energy and youthful vibrance," Kristina Marinova brings dazzling emotion and precision to every note. A native of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and a Master's graduate from the University of Michigan, her acclaimed 2022 Carnegie Hall performance was hailed as "a feast for the ears." Her latest album, Loves Me Not, features deeply expressive works by Bach, Liszt, and Rachmaninoff. But her latest project proves her virtuosity knows no bounds. With THE BUS CAME BY AND I GOT ON, Marinova masterfully translates the mind-melting soundscapes of the Grateful Dead onto a solo piano. The "devotee-pleasing setlist" is designed to replicate a Dead concert from 1966 to 1972, expertly translating their whirlwind psychedelia for a single instrument. Her cross-genre brilliance has made her the perfect person for the job, captivating audiences worldwide with her classical repertoire and innovative new work.
