Singer and keyboardist Jordan Anderson leads with a soaring level of octave prowess and sonic range akin to that of other renowned soul acts like St. Paul ethos and sonic tones of a vibrant city that Anderson proudly calls home.THE PEACOAT PROJECTThe Peacoat Project is a modern jazz ensemble built on original compositions and the talents of seasoned improvisers. Led by Peter Koht, the band features Santa Cruz based stalwarts including Will Bates (Sambad) on drums, bassist Chris Soriano (El Sol), percussionist Barbara Martin (El Sol) and trombonist Jordan Zell (La Familia). Together they bring a wealth of experience across jazz, soul, and Latin traditions into a sound that is unmistakably their own. The Peacoat Project pushes jazz ahead without losing its soulor its groove.
