Handel: Water Music Suites Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro Overture Haydn: Overture to The Uninhabited Island Mozart: Ballet Music from Idomeneo Baroque and classical-period music is best performed lean and intimate, and you?ll get just that when internationally recognized Baroque specialist Jeannette Sorrell leads a program of 18th-century delights. Founder of the Apollo?s Fire Baroque Orchestra, Sorrell opens with Handel?s effervescent suites from the Water Music, balanced by Mozart?s Overture to Marriage of Figaro. Haydn?s storm-and-stress Overture to The Uninhabited Island follows before the concert wraps up with Mozart?s percolating ballet music from Idomeneo.
