Refine Collective Presents the 5th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Market @ The Salt Shed Lift every voice and sing! On June 19, 1865, the last community of enslaved Black people in the Confederacy received word theyd be free, and Juneteenth was born. Over 150 years later, the contributions of Black Americans to society at large locally, nationally and globally are enormous, everlasting and ongoing. Join Refine Collective for a free, all-ages celebration of Black creativity and entrepreneurship at our 5th Annual Juneteenth Freedom Market! Come by on the evening of June 19th to enjoy: A marketplace of 70+ local Black-owned businesses and creators, selling everything from homegoods, beauty products, one-of-a-kind fashions and more.Activations by Black Girl Vitamins, Mikes Hot Honey, and moreCurated sounds, including DJ sets from Slot A and DJ Ca$h EraThe chance to watch and join the renowned 40+ Double Dutch Club, a Chicago based non-profit made up of women ages 40+ encouraging movement and community through the fun and nostalgia of Double Dutch.Specially-designed flash tattoos by Cierra, Onyx Tattoos, and Jhane Inx.
