Originally airing as a two-part miniseries on West German national TV, Fassbinders Welt Ahm Draht is based on the novel Simulacron-3 by Daniel F. Galouye. Institute fr Kybernetik und Zukunftsforschungs new supercomputer simulates an artificial world, where thousands of people live, unaware they are living in a simulation.
