Urasenke-trained sensei Kukiko Mitani and one of our founders, Arq. Werner Morath will treat you to an authentic Chanoyu experience at our private tearoom. Learn about the Japanese ancient art of tea, experience the dynamics and the meaning of the ritual way of preparing, offering and drinking matcha. Ceremonial-grade matcha will be served in exquisite teaware along with traditional sweets within an environment conducive to reflection and contemplation. Experience this ancient practice and learn about the art of tea in the Japanese culture.
This special experience is ususally scheduled once a month on the last Wednesday of the month, unless specifically noted. If you wish to schedule a private Chanoyu experience at a different time please contact the host to inquire.
